Yu is a technology specialist with more than 10 years of patent prosecution and IP management experience in both private practice and in-house, and is qualified to practice in the UK, Singapore, and China.

His technical areas of expertise include electronics, mechanical engineering, semiconductor, information technology, computer software, medical instruments, and etc. After entering the patent profession in 2006 with a UK based top tier international IP firm, he had subsequently worked as an IP counsel in a China based MNC managing their global patent portfolios.

Yu graduated with an honours degree in Electrical Engineering from the National University of Singapore with full scholarship, and obtained a master’s degree in Intellectual Property Management.
