Diego F. Freire is an associate at Arch & Lake LLP. Mr. Freire concentrates his practice on intellectual property law matters, including patent prosecution and litigation in the electrical and mechanical areas.
Prior to joining Arch & Lake LLP, Mr. Freire worked as an associate at McDonnell Boehnen Hulbert & Berghoff LLP, doing patent prosecution of electrical-related patents. His experience includes AR technology, artificial intelligence, blockchain, autonomous vehicles, semiconductors, medical devices, IT solutions, and other electrical and software inventions.
Prior to attending law school, Mr. Freire was an Edison under the Edison Engineering Design Program at GE Healthcare. He worked on medical devices ranging from X-Ray and Computed Tomography (CT) machines to Magnetic Resonance (MR) and Ultrasound devices. Mr. Freire specifically designed both software and hardware for CT machines as well as inventing and patenting a wireless X-ray detector system. In addition, he also worked in GE’s legal department doing patent portfolio analytics and clearance.
