CJ has over fifteen years of experience litigating complex intellectual property matters (including defending against accusations of design patent infringement) for corporate clients. His experience includes representing major brands in the specialty retail and fashion industry. For example, he has been co-lead litigation counsel for an international sportswear brand in a trademark dispute, litigation counsel for a fashion brand in a dispute over the trade dress of handbags and travel bags, and outside IP counsel to a specialty retailer of outdoor recreation merchandise.

CJ has been lead IP litigation counsel in patent matters. He has been trial counsel in multiple inter partes review (IPR) proceedings before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB) at the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), as both patent owner and petitioner, and argued appeals at the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.
